Thermal sensors work by detecting heat signatures. In the summer and early autumn, thick foliage acts as an umbrella, blocking the drone's ability to "see" the ground. We wait until the majority of the leaves have fallen. This clear line of sight ensures we aren't missing deer tucked under heavy cover.
- Capturing the Fawn Recruitment Number
